This diploma thesis presents the design of a visual identity for an alcoholic beverage label and a cocktail recipe brochure.
The KuBrata ZBrd company, which produces spirits, has launched a new product on the Slovenian market, which needs a distinctive look. Their brand already has an integrated graphic image, which, however, needs a bit of refinement.
The theoretical part details the brand and its meaning, the elements that shape it and the classification of brands. It goes on to discuss the importance of packaging, its classification, the materials it can be made from and the design process.
In the experimental part, the client and the definition of their brand are first introduced in form of an analysis of their comprehensive graphic image and the product already on the market. The project is then described, followed by a presentation of methods, where a careful analysis of the client and a critical visual evaluation play a key role. Evidently, typographic and design rules must be observed.
The entire process of producing the label, brochure and website is shown, from the conceptual design, sketches, digitisation, preparation of all the necessary materials and trial prints. The final products are presented and analysed in the discussion.
