In the thesis, I adress the organization of urgent transports at Intereuropa d.d. I focus on resolving deficiencies in the company's urgent transport organization, with an emphasis on analyzing a practical case of organizing a combined urgent transport. The goal of the thesis is to propose improvements based on analysis of the procedures for organizing urgent transports within the company and the practical case of organizing an urgent transport. The aim is to provide measures to improve the procedures, thereby creating a more robust system that generates lower costs, shortens delivery times, and enables the company to gain a sustainable competitive advantage in the global market.
In the thesis, I thoroughly analyzed the organization of urgent transports and used this to propose improvements. The focus of the thesis was on the organization of urgent transports and their complexity in the global market. The company discussed is large, and this size causes certain problems, such as disconnected departments and poor communication. These issues can be improved using studied methods like Kaizen, 20 Keys, Six Sigma, and similar approaches. During the analysis, I also identified significant risks both within the organization itself and while shipments are in transit. Due to these risks, I examined various risk management strategies, such as risk acceptance, risk avoidance, risk transfer, risk reduction, and risk mitigation. Based on the completed analysis of urgent transport organization, the selected company can improve and optimize its processes and operations, thereby enhancing goal achievement and the overall functioning of the company itself.
