The thesis focuses on an overview of the functioning of various forms of mental health assistance in the Pomurje region and on the personal experiences of people involved in these programs. In addition, the research also examines the quality of interpersonal relationships and the phenomena of social exclusion that people with mental health problems often face. For the purpose of the research, I conducted a qualitative study, in which I used the in-depth interview method. Eight individuals who are users of community-based forms of mental health assistance in Pomurje participated in the study. The main goal was to check whether sufficient and diverse support is available in this area and how users assess the organization and accessibility of these services. In my thesis, I also focused on how the experiences of interpersonal relationships and the level of social inclusion affect the quality of life of people with mental health problems. The results should contribute to a better understanding of the needs of this vulnerable group and the improvement of services in the local community.
