The thesis adresses Pionirska cesta in Dolenjske Toplice, which runs near the local primary school and
kindergarden. The first part includes an inspection of the existing conditions, identifying key
deficiencies such as worn-out speed bumps, inadequate junctions and visability and a lack of pedestrian
crossings. The following section presents traffic calming mesures based on tehnical specifications and
regulations, which form the basis for proposed improvements to the section in question. The proposed
measures include the construction of raised intersection, installation of a trapezoidal platform, marking
of bicycle lanes, realignment of the carriageway axis, reconstruction of junctions, and redisign of the
intersection.
