The objective of this thesis is to develop a navigation system for electric vehicles that enhances the travel experience of users through optimal route planning and the availability of charging stations. The system is designed to operate similarly to existing navigation systems but is tailored specifically for electric vehicles, incorporating real-time data on the locations and availability of charging stations. The development of the system involved the design and implementation of algorithms for calculating optimal travel routes, as well as a strategic infrastructure plan for the expansion and optimization of the charging station network across Slovenia. The implementation of the system enables seamless and efficient travel for electric vehicle users throughout the country, contributing to a sustainable transportation infrastructure.
