Ilustracija slikanice Magična babi

V diplomskem delu smo opredelili pojem ilustracije, se osredotočili na knjižno ilustracijo ter raziskali osnove grafičnega oblikovanja in tipografije. Definirali smo pojem slikanice in jo razčlenili glede na stopnjo zahtevnosti ter jo zatem opredelili glede na strukturo. Nato smo analizirali upodobitev lika čarovnice v otroški literaturi, tako v svetovni kot tudi v slovenski literaturi. Praktični del diplomskega dela smo razdelili na materiale in metode. Navedli smo uporabljene materiale, pripomočke, programsko in strojno opremo za izdelavo slikanice, nato pa smo po sklopih navedli postopke izdelave. Analizirali smo vsebino pravljice Magična babi, opredelili like v zgodbi in našo ciljno skupino. Zatem smo definirali ilustrirano vsebino in ročno snovali skice ilustracij. Podrobneje smo opredelili in oblikovali like ter izdelali ilustracije s pomočjo raznih risalnih pripomočkov. Končne ilustracije smo digitalno zajeli ter jih v programu Adobe Photoshop obdelali in naredili popravke. Potem je sledilo oblikovanje knjige, začeli smo z definiranjem formata, čemur so sledili izbor tipografije ter celotno oblikovanje in postavitev besedila. Ko smo postavili celotno slikanico z besedilom v programu Adobe InDesign, smo umestili ilustracije in jih prilagodili formatu. V zadnji fazi je sledilo oblikovanje platnice, ki smo jo izdelali na podlagi predhodno definiranih grafičnih elementov. Rezultat dela je slikanica Magična babi za otroke v starosti od pet do deset let.

Izvleček

In the diploma thesis, we defined the concept of illustration, focused on book illustration, and explored the basics of graphic design and typography. We defined the concept of a picture book and analyzed it according to the level of complexity and then defined it according to its structure. We then analyzed the depiction of the witch character in children's literature, both in world and in Slovenian literature. The practical part of the thesis is divided into materials and methods. We listed the materials, tools, software and hardware used to make the picture book, and then we listed the production processes in parts. We analyzed the content of the story Magična babi, identified the characters in the story and defined our target group. We then defined the illustrated content and hand-crafted sketches of the illustrations. We designed the characters in detail and made illustrations with the help of various drawing tools. We digitally captured the final illustrations and processed them in Adobe Photoshop and made corrections. After that, we started with the book design. Firstly, we defined the format of the book, followed by the selection of typography and the overall design and layout of the text. After we designed the entire layout of the picture book, with text in Adobe InDesign, we placed the illustrations in the book format. The last phase was followed by the design of the cover, which we made on the basis of predefined graphic elements. The result of the work is the picture book Magična babi for children aged five to ten.
