This thesis examines the redesign of the website of the Rod Stražnih ognjev Scout Association with the aim of improving the user experience. In the digital age, a modern, well structured and functional website is essential for communicating with target groups — especially for non profit organisations, whose technical and financial resources are often limited. The project focuses on the overhaul of the »Akcije« sub page, which provides members and their parents with information on upcoming events, registration forms, packing lists and photo galleries of past activities.
The theoretical part discusses the role of user interface and user experience design, the digital challenges faced by non profit organisations, and current user centred approaches to web development. The experimental part comprises an analysis of the existing website, a semi structured interview with the client, a user survey, the creation of two personas and one usage scenario. A competitive review of other scouting websites was also conducted; these findings informed a new information architecture for the »Akcije« section.
Using Canva and Figma, low fidelity wireframes and an interactive prototype were produced and tested with ten representatives of the target audience. Evaluation of the prototype led to improvements in user flows, a clearer information structure and visually guided navigation.
The final outcome is a sub page prototype that offers a more intuitive, visually attractive and technically robust user experience. The thesis contributes to understanding website redesign within the non profit context and provides guidelines for further enhancement of the association’s digital presence.
