The thesis focuses on obtaining key data for drafting a reinforcement plan for the inter-floor slab of a selected RC building, with the process divided into three main steps: determination of expected bending moments in the slab, calculation of required reinforcement, and preparation of the reinforcement plan. In the first step, bending moments are determined using a simplified procedure utilising tables for analyses of rectangular slabs from literature. The obtained results are compared to results of a more precise FEM analysis of the slab, which we perform in the SAP2000 software, , what finally enables verification of the accuracy and appropriateness of both approaches. The second step involves calculating the required reinforcement using two methods—analytical and with the help of the SAP2000 program. Results from both methods are compared and evaluated based on precision and compliance with construction requirements. In the final step, a sketch of the reinforcement plan is prepared based on rules from available literature and calculations obtained from the SAP2000 program. Finally, reinforcement of the slab is planned in a more detail where the dimensions of available reinforcement meshes and proper execution of mesh overlaps are taken into account to ensure an efficient and feasible solution.
