The diploma thesis deals with different image formats that are alternatives to the animated GIF format.
The theoretical part of the thesis covers the history of the GIF format, its structure and construction, and comparisons between different methods and formats. A brief overview of the programs used in the practical part of the thesis, such as Photoshop, CodePen and Figma, is also presented. For each program, it is explained in detail why it was used and what its functionalities are.
In the practical part, a short animation was created for each of them using the programs mentioned above. These are animations of a graphically drawn circle, rotating clockwise, with a central caption describing a specific format. The practical part also contains a description of the steps and procedures that were carried out in the creation of each animation, including construction and animation.
