The master's thesis presents the optimization of the injection moulding process for a selected product made of polypropylene HG385MO. The objective of the thesis is to investigate the influence of five process parameters on selected output characteristics of the examined injection moulding process. The introduction outlines the theoretical fundamentals of the injection moulding process, the properties of polymer materials, and the basic principles of design of experiments. The second part of the thesis describes the systems used in the experiment: the machine, mold, and material systems. The process optimization is carried out using the design of experiments (DOE) method, and the results of the shrinkage calculations for the polypropylene material on the selected product are presented. In the conclusion, the results showing the most significant effects of the process parameters on the selected product are summarized.
