At the Rapallo border in the Sovra Valley near Žiri, the dual
role of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia’s defence infrastructure
was recognised. It was found that the anti-tank walls had an
additional function of flood control. The field survey included
three previously unknown anti-tank walls that also crossed
watercourses by cutting the direction of a possible invasion
by the Kingdom of Italy. Understanding the defence strategy
followed by the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in the construction of
the defence system along the Rapallo border, one can assume
that this dual function was planned.
