We analyzed various horse walkers, both lunge pen and walking devices. There are many types of walking frames, so we chose two different ones for analysis. A horse walker is substitute for the lack of movement that a horse needs for its health, healthy growth and blood circulation in the body. It allows for the control of horse movement and represents a method of training. The purpose of the diploma thesis was to determine the suitability of using a lunge pen or walking device for different horses by reviewing different walkers and selecting a walker for certain needs. We wanted to review the operation and composition, individual characteristics and adaptability. We assume that the presence of a person is always necessary regardless of the whether the walker is a lunge pen or walking device, it is necessary to monitor the horse's behavior, during the activity. With lunge pen, attention must be paid to the horse's safety in the evet that the horse stops. Proper use is suitable for the rehabilitation of horses after injury and the improvement of behavioral habits. We assume that a lunge pen is more suitable for the horse's well-being, because the horse's connection and attachment to humans is important. We assume that the price of walker depend on individual requirements such as composition, selection of construction material, technical characteristics, power, energy consumption, security, adjustability. The price also depend on capacity, installation, time constraints, floor arrangement, suitability for horses and seasons, and needs.
