Terenski testi na kolesu so z razvojem nove opreme, natančneje merilcev moči postali vse bolj priljubljeni. V primerjavi z laboratorijskimi testi so časovno manj potratni in cenovno ugodnejši. Namen raziskave je bil preveriti zanesljivost na novo oblikovanega protokola kolesarskega testa na terenu (1-5-15) in ugotoviti veljavnost dveh različnih kolesarskih testov na terenu (1-5-15 in 12-7-3) za določanje vadbenih območij. Metode: V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 17 mladih kolesarjev, 10 žensk in 7 moških (starost moških M = 18,5 let; SD = 2,1 let, starost žensk M = 17,7 let; SD = 1,6 let in VO2 max M = 68,8; SD = 3,8 ml/kg min-1 za moške in M = 55,9; SD = 6,2 ml/kg min-1 za ženske). Merjenci so v laboratoriju opravili večstopenjski obremenitveni test ter dva terenska testa za določanje profila moči. Protokol laboratorijskega testa za moške je bil enak začetni obremenitvi 100 W s povečanjem 20 W/min, za ženske pa je bila začetna obremenitev 60 W in povečanjem 15 W/min do odpovedi. Na podlagi metabolnih in ventilatornih spremenljivk je bila določena moč na točki respiratorne kompenzacije (RCP) in največji privzem kisika (VO2 max). Na terenu so v treh ločenih dneh opravili tri terenske teste (dva s protokolom 1-5-15 in enega 12-7-3). Na začetku vsakega testa so izvedli ogrevanje, nato pa so začeli z izvedbo treh naporov različnega trajanja do odpovedi, med katerimi je bilo med 20 in 30 minut aktivnega odmora. Iz povprečnih vrednosti moči je bila izračunana kritična moč (CP) in W'. Opravljena je bila primerjava med RCP in CP določenih iz obeh testov ter analiza zanesljivosti protokola 1-5-15. Rezultati: Zanesljivost novega protokola za določanje profila moči potrjuje Cronbach Alpha (α = 0,957). Povezanost moči na RCP in CP testa 1-5-15 je zelo visoka, r = 0,903 (p < 0,01). Prav tako je zelo visoka tudi povezanost moči na RCP in CP testa 12-7-3, r = 0,924 (p < 0,01). Zaključek: Raziskava je ena redkih, kjer so v vzorec vključene tudi mlade kolesarke. Na novo oblikovan protokol testa za določanje profila moči je zanesljiv, CP izračunana na podlagi rezultatov pa kaže na visoko povezanost z močjo pri RCP. Obstajajo razlike med CP in močjo pri RCP, in sicer je slednja nižja.

Naslov:Usability of the field power profile test for determining training zones in cycling

Field tests have become increasingly popular in cycling with the development of new equipment, especially power meters. Compared to laboratory tests, they are less time-consuming and more cost-effective. The aim of the research was to evaluate the reliability of a newly designed field cycling test protocol (1-5-15) and to assess the validity of two different field cycling tests (1-5-15 and 12-7-3) for determining training zones. Methods: The study involved 17 young cyclists, 10 women and 7 men (age of men M = 18.5 years; SD = 2.1 years, age of women M = 17.7 years; SD = 1.6 years, and VO2 max M = 68.8; SD = 3.8 ml/kg min-1 for men and M = 55.9; SD = 6.2 ml/kg min-1 for women). The participants performed incremental exercise test in the laboratory and two field tests to determine their power profiles. Initial load in the incremental test was 100 W and was increased for 20 W/min, while fot women the intial load was 60 W, increased for 15 W/min until exhaustion. Based on metabolic and ventilatory variables, power at the respiratory compensation point (RCP) and maximal oxygen uptake (VO2 max) were determined. On the field, the participants performed three field tests on three separate days (two using the 1-5-15 protocol and one using the 12-7-3 protocol). At the start of each test, a warm-up was performed, followed by three efforts of different durations until exhaustion, with an active rest period between 20 and 30 minutes. Critical power (CP) and W' were calculated from the average power values of each test duration. A comparison was made between RCP and CP determined from both tests, and the reliability of the 1-5-15 protocol was analyzed. Results: The reliability of the newly designed power profile test protocol is confirmed by Cronbach's alpha (α = 0.957). The correlation between power at RCP and CP from the 1-5-15 test is very high, r = 0.903 (p < 0.01). Similarly, the correlation between power at RCP and CP from the 12-7-3 test is also very high, r = 0.924 (p < 0.01). Conclusion: This study is one of the few to include young female cyclists in the sample. The newly designed power profile test protocol is reliable, and the CP calculated from the results shows a high correlation with power at RCP. There are differences between CP and power at RCP, with the latter being lower.
