Introduction: Cervical cancer has a significant impact on women's lives due to various complications such as urological disorders, bowel dysfunction, nausea, vomiting, acute and chronic pain, sleep disturbances, depression, anxiety, loss of body image, and sexual dysfunction. Objective: Our aim was to explore how cervical cancer affects patients' quality of life and how nurses, through their knowledge, planning, and implementation of nursing care, can contribute to improving their well-being. Methods: We used a descriptive research by reviewing domestic and international scientific literature on cervical cancer in relation to quality of life and the role of nurses. The reviewed literature was published between 2015 and 2024 and was sourced from Cobib.si, MedLine/PubMed, CINAHL, and Google Scholar. Keywords included terms such as cervical cancer, symptoms and complications, nursing diagnoses, nursing interventions, and nurses. Inclusion criteria encompassed freely accessible content, publications in Slovenian or English, and relevance to the topic. Data were analyzed using NANDA-I and NIC classifications. Results: We identified the most appropriate nursing diagnoses NANDA-I and NIC interventions for patients with cervical cancer. The confirmed nursing diagnoses include: Risk for electrolyte imbalance, Impaired urinary elimination, Bowel incontinence, Disturbed body image, Sexual dysfunction, Risk for spiritual distress, and Chronic pain syndrome. Key NIC interventions include: spiritual support, enhancement of body image, pain management: acute, pain management: chronic, urinary elimination management, electrolyte balance monitoring, sexual counseling, and bowel incontinence care. Discussion and Conclusion: The systematic use of NANDA-I nursing diagnoses and NIC interventions enables a comprehensive approach to patient care and contributes to improving quality of life. This approach ensures better symptom management, increased safety, and greater patient satisfaction. Further research is needed to optimize nursing care in this area.
