The thesis describes an automated process in the pharmaceutical industry and
the components that form it as a whole. A part of the process responsible for
preparing buffers, which are later used in chromatography, is presented. The
computer control system is described at the beginning. Next, the hardware and
software used in the implementation of the project are introduced. This is followed
by a description of the user interface, which allows the user to visualize all the
automation elements in the system. The functionality of the system includes the
actions of the individual operations and phases of the system, which together enable
the buffer preparation process. Finally, the test procedures for the supervisory control
system are presented that ensure the correct functioning of the system and its safety.
