This graduate thesis presents the development of an interactive presentation of the Slovenian national costume on the AS Unikat company website. The main objective was to create a visually-appealing and user-friendly presentation of national costumes using interactive elements that enable users a better user experience and facilitate their understanding of the clothing heritage.
The theoretical part covers key topics such as interactivity, user experience, user-centred design and content management system. The national costume is presented in the last part of the theoretical part.
In the experimental part, we first reviewed and tested various tools and plugins that enable website interactivity. Based on testing results, we selected the Genially web platform, which allows easy creation of interactive presentations and a range of other products without programming knowledge. A detailed creation process from photography to website publication is described. Special attention is paid to ensuring the adaptation to all devices, especially mobile ones, which is crucial for achieving a better user experience. The interactive presentation includes both men's and women's national costumes, with all the constituent elements presented in detail.
Finally, we conducted an online survey to gather data on the reactions to the interactive content. The AS Unikat company website thus gained added value by providing users with an in-depth insight into the rich Slovenian clothing heritage.
