The master's thesis focuses on stress and accentuation in teaching Slovene as a second or foreign language. The theoretical part of the thesis, based on professional literature, examines phonetics and phonology, specifically targeting level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The empirical part includes the analysis of foreign language textbooks and Slovene language teaching materials, as well as the execution of an experiment to assess the appropriateness of stress placement during text reading. A questionnaire complements the findings regarding the marking of stressed words. The master's thesis provides a comprehensive overview and practical guidelines for teaching stress and accentuation in Slovene as a second or foreign language.
