Hitra ocena potreb in razvoj storitev v nastavitveni hiši za brezdomce Tierney : magistrsko delo

V magistrski nalogi uporabim metodo hitre ocene potreb in storitev za raziskovanje potreb, s katerimi uporabnice_ki vstopajo v hišo Tierney, ter storitev, ki jih uporabnice_ki potrebujejo za naslovitev teh potreb. V prvem delu teoretskega dela predstavim pojem brezdomstva ter zdravstvene težave, pogosto pridružene brezdomstvu. V drugem delu teoretskega uvoda se osredotočim na predstavitev oblik nastanitev, ki obstajajo kot alternativa spanju na grobem, ter hkrati predstavim model hiše Tierney, ki ponuja kratkotrajno zavetje ljudem, ki potrebujejo varno okolje za okrevanje. Raziskati sem želela postopek dela z uporabnicami_ki v hiši Tierney, od sprejema do odpusta, potrebe, s katerimi uporabnice_ki vstopajo, storitve, ki jih uporabnice_ki potrebujejo za naslovitev svojih potreb, storitve, katerih so uporabnice_ki deležni v času bivanja ter potrebe, ki niso bile naslovljene v času bivanja v hiši Tierney. Zanimalo me je tudi, ali bi bilo smiselno investirati v razširitev enote na osnovi zbranih statističnih podatkov o naslovljenih potrebah in povpraševanja po storitvah Hiše Tierney. V okviru raziskovalnega dela sem uporabila intervju kot metodo zbiranja podatkov, opravila pa sem ga z desetimi uporabnicami_ki, ki so v danem časovnem okvirju bivali v hiši Tierney, opravila pa sem tudi intervju z vodjo oddelka. Intervjuji so pokazali, da obstajajo številne potrebe brezdomcev na področju namestitve, zdravja, socialnih interakcij, financ in sodnih primerov, zaposleni pa igrajo pomembno vlogo v podpori in naslovitvi teh potreb z izvajanjem številnih storitev ter povezovanjem z drugimi timi in organizacijami, ki uporabnicami_kom lahko storitve nudijo tudi po odpustu iz hiše Tierney.

• Naslov: A quick assessment of needs in the development of services in homeless house Tierney

Izvleček

In the master's thesis I used the Rapid Assessment of Needs and Services method to investigate the needs that users identify with at Tierney House and the services that users require in order to address those needs. In the first part of the theoretical work I present the concept of homelessness and health problems often associated with homelessness. In the second part of the theoretical introduction I focus on the presentation of different accommodation options as an alternative to sleeping rough. At the same time I present the Tierney House model, which offers short-term shelter for people who need a safe environment for recovery. I researched the work process of working with users at Tierney House from admission to discharge, the needs that users identify with, services that users need in order to address their needs, services that users receive during their stay, and the needs that were not addressed during users’ stay at Tierney House. I also showed an interest in researching whether it would make sense to invest in the expansion of the unit, given the collected statistical data on the needs addressed and the demand for the services of the Tierney House shows that way. As part of the research work I use an interview as a method of data collection, which was used to conduct ten interviews with users who were staying at the Tierney house at the time, as well as an interview with the head of the department. Interviews revealed that homeless people have needs in the areas of accommodation, health, social interactions, finances and court cases, and staff play an important role in supporting and addressing these needs by providing a range of services and liaising with other teams and organizations who can provide services to users even after discharge from Tierney house.
