The topic of the thesis will be the establishment and functioning of the choirs of Maximilian's court chapels. The focus will be on the Vienna Court Chapel, the role of patrons and Maximilian, singers and other musicians, as well as their origins and activities in the world of music and on the political and religious stage. I will pay special attention to Jurij Slatkonja, the first Viennese bishop and head of the Viennese court chapel, his role and to some extent his work. I will touch on the importance of Jurij Slatkonja for the Vienna Court Chapel and explain the functioning of the chapel as an institution and how he was involved in it.
