Blossoms in Autumn is one of the most recognisable Slovenian literary works, but the secondary school and scholarly interpretations of this work differ to a degree. In my thesis I summed up three scholarly interpretations of Blossoms in autumn (Miran Hladnik, Jože Pogačnik, Matjaž Kmecl). With the help of a survey and secondary school textbooks, I obtained the base for secondary school interpretation. I compared the two to show the differences between them. Finally, I made suggestions for teaching Blossoms in Autumn in secondary schools.
