The thesis addresses the issue of traffic congestion at the intersection of Pot za Brdom and Tehnološki park in Ljubljana, where delays and safety risks pose significant challenges, especially during peak traffic hours. The introductory section analyses current traffic loads and outlines the main traffic issues at the intersection. A review and description of proposed solutions for improving traffic flow and safety follow.
Using the SIDRA Intersection software, a capacity analysis was conducted for the proposed solutions, both for the current year and for a 10-year forecasted traffic growth. Based on this analysis, the conclusion compares the different intersection solutions, providing clear arguments for selecting the most effective option.
