Abstract
V praktičnem delu so analizirana vprašanja iz učbenikov in maturitetnih izpitov v obdobju 2018–2023, kjer delo preučuje, katere stopnje Bloomove taksonomije (znanje, razumevanje, uporaba, analiza, sinteza, vrednotenje) ta vprašanja preverjajo.

Title:The role of phonetics in Slovenian secondary schools - review of textbooks and the General Matura exam tasks from 2018-2023
Abstract:
The thesis examines the role of phonics within the educational setting, with a particular emphasis on its representation in textbooks and the national secondary school-leaving exam (matura) according to various levels of Bloom's taxonomy. The introductory section presents findings from surveys indicating the current proficiency in phonetics among first-year students in Slovenian studies. In the theoretical portion, the thesis explores the status of phonetics and its codification, as well as the contributions of textbooks and educators to instruction. It delineates learning objectives and introduces various taxonomies, with a specific focus on Bloom's taxonomy. Significant attention is given to phonetics in the Secondary school Curriculum for Slovenian and the Subject Examination Catalogue for the General Matura - Slovenian 2024. The practical component involves an analysis of questions from textbooks and matura examinations from 2018 to 2023, assessing which levels of Bloom's taxonomy (knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation) these questions target. Furthermore, the thesis discusses the importance of incorporating all taxonomy levels and the necessity for a more thorough examination of phonetics in Slovenian secondary education. The analysis of surveys and questions indicates that the study of phonetics is relatively underrepresented in comparison to other subjects at the secondary school level.
