Two decades ago, legislation in the field of land cadastre in Slovenia introduced a new cadastral procedure for individual rearrangement of cadastral boundaries, known as boundary adjustment. Due to the vague provisions, this procedure has been applied in practice for various purposes, which has been repeatedly pointed out in practice. The Real Estate Cadastre Act of 2021 introduced several additional rules regarding the implementation of the boundary adjustment. The purpose of this graduation thesis is to analyse the reasons why the boundary adjustment instrument can be used today, based on selected cases. Special attention is given to the novelties introduced by the new legislation in comparison to the provisions of the previous legislation. As part of the diploma thesis, selected cases of boundary adjustment procedures, recorded in the official real estate cadastre documentation, will be examined. The selected boundary adjustment cases will be analysed and presented in collaboration with a certified surveying engineer. For this thesis, we analysed selected reports and found that the cadastral boundary adjustment procedure is a powerful and very important instrument for arranging or rearranging land plot boundaries, and its application is very extensive in terms of purpose.
