The measurements for this thesis were made in February and March 2012 on a private forest property. On a concrete example it was ascertained which art of the wood's sale is economically for the owner of a forest the best one. A comparison was made between the remains of stumpage, the sale of the forest assortments on a truck road and the sale of sawn wood or chopped wood. For this answer the working phases had to be observed. For each working phase a time analysis and a calculation of the work's costs were made. With the help of proper standards round wood, sawn wood and chopped wood were estimated. It was established that it's economically better for the owner of a forest to do the cutting and skidding operation of wood by himself, under the condition that he has the right knowledge, the machinery and the equipment for the work in the woods. In this case the forest owner would have 9 % more remain than if he sold wood on a tree stump. With the sale of sawn pinewood there would be 13 % more remain than with the sale of forest assortments on a truck road or sawn wood. According to the measurements chopped wood of deciduous trees of worse quality is better for composition and sale. There is 27 % more remain than with the sale of forest assortments on a truck road.
