In this thesis, we presented and described the method for testing the air tightness of ventilation ducts, with the aim of confirming the system's compliance with the tightness class from the standard SIST EN 12237. After setting up the measurement course and conducting the measurements, we confirmed through the results that the system in question meets the requirements of class A air tightness. The theoretical review and practical measurements showed that the system complies with the standards and needs of the assessed space, confirming the correct sizing and reliable operation of the system.
For future work, we propose focusing on optimising the sealing of the ventilation system using modern technologies, which would improve energy efficiency. Following the potential implementation of new sealing technologies, it would be advisable to conduct a retest of the air tightness to verify whether a higher tightness class can be achieved at acceptable costs.
