In this thesis we have measured and evaluated stand structures of the virgin forest reserve Šumik (19,24 ha). A sampling net of 100x100 m was set up, and within it a 7 are plots were measured out. Than we`ve registered several characteristics of living and standing or lying dead wood. The dominating tree species are fir and beech. An average of 378 trees/ha was estimated. The average growing stock of living trees is 861 m3/ha. Seventy percent of all living trees are healthy. Stand structure has`t typically changed since first evaluations in virgin forest reserve Šumik in 1979.
