Žiga Divjak is one of the most incisive young figures in theater today. With exceptional sensitivity, he raises topical and pressing social issues of our time, including the issue of climate change, which lies at the heart of Vročina (Fever). Within the principle of devised theater, the director uses documentary materials and employs diverse dramatic strategies to create a polyphonic discourse and form the cast and audience into a collective. Analyzing the staging and the text, this article considers how theater can speak about environmental problems and establish its own discourse amid media over-saturation.
