The master's thesis analyses plant phraseme constituents in Slovenian phraseology. The research methodology primarily involves working with dictionary and corpus material. The analysis relies on a selection of plant-themed phrasemes found in Slovar slovenskega knjižnega jezika and Slovar slovenskih frazemov. Essential for identifying the characteristics of both plant phraseme constituents and phrasemes alike is a division of phrasemes based on the use of specific plant constituents. In continuation, phrasemes are further categorized based on their structure. The metaFida corpus provides a crucial perspective, allowing for the observation of potential changes in the meaning of phrasemes. Finally, the thesis focuses on the semantic division of phrasemes into larger semantic groups according to categorial meaning. Within these groups, consideration is also given to the lexical meanings of phrasemes. The master's thesis proves that plant phraseology is an integral part of Slovenian phraseology.
