The purpose of the master's thesis was to prepare a methodology of snowboard teaching. We reviewed accessible snowboarding instruction manuals by the Snowboarding Associations in Austria, France, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, Great Britain and the United States. We have found that most of these countries have one national association, which goal is to develop all snow sports and is also responsible for the availability of the knowledge base and examples of good practices. Good practices are products of each of individual sports discipline. Similar is in Slovenia where the Skiing Association of Slovenia is main organization for most winter sports. We found that preparing planned and systematic knowledge base in the field of alpine skiing in Slovenia is still in the beginning faze. An example of good practice with its teaching methodology is the national alpine skiing school, which we used as a starting point for our presented methodology of snowboard teaching. According to it we have systematically classified snowboarding services into five levels of knowledge. We have described the services or milestones in detail and presented them with photos and videos. We have prepared a useful didactic tool that will enable users to learn snowboarding services in a planned and systematic way. We assume that therefore the process of learning to snowboard will not only be more economical but also safer.
