The fastest way to find the information we need is via the World Wide Web, so it is very important that service or product providers have interactive web applications of good quality. They must be designed to attract the attention of visitors and be easy, simple and transparent to use. They must provide a sufficient range of relevant, interesting and up-to-date information.
Some time ago, there was a public event organised by one of Slovenia's motoring associations. The event was poorly attended due to insuficient information which was published in multiple places and fragments of the whole information were published in several places. In addition, the event was poorly organised in terms of compliance with the legal regulations on ensuring the safety and order of the event participants. The Association's website was also deficient in clarity and organisation of the website, there is lack of information, which is not updated and also the non-functioning of the website occurs occasionally.
Therefore the developed prototype in my thesis is a representation of a more modern web application to support the motoring association, which will facilitate the presentation of the association and the organisation of the association's public events. The application of different technologies such as HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, MySQL and PHP has been the base for development of a prototype of a web application. The web application will enable external users to view the activities and benefits of the association, while members will be able to also register for scheduled events of the association. The web application will make it easier for the association to organise and promote events and will provide better opportunities for recruiting new members.
