This thesis deals with religious content in poetry. I focus on the Slovenian poet Srečko Kosovel, whose religious content encompasses a substantial part of his opus. I research the poet's approach towards religion from primary sources. I consult the analyses by Franc Zadravec, Vladimir Truhlar and Taras Kermauner and attempt to determine their comprehension of Kosovel's religious poetics. With my own analysis of Kosovel's complete works I extract every religious motif and discover that Srečko Kosovel weaves Christian themes in his poetry fairly often, mostly determined by his personal religious experiences.
