In this thesis, we analyze the management of wild boar in the Ptuj-Ormož hunting-management district in the period from 1996 to 2020. We also analyzed the damage caused by the wild boar in the Ptuj-Ormož hunting-management district. But in a shorter period (due to a lack of data), namely from 2011 to 2020. The dynamics of abstraction by sexual and age structure are shown. The collection of wild boar has soathed throughout the research period. In our study we found that the collection of wild boar in hunting-management district Ptuj-Ormož is the highest in the central area or in hunting bays which actively manage wild boars. In the event of the collection of wild boar in the central area, the hunting ground Podlehnik stands out strongly. Outside the central area, however, the hunting ground Središče achieves a greater abstraction than some hunting grounds in central area. The withdrawal of adult males increased over the period, but the proportion of older boar surged sharply. We found that the abstraction interferes too much with the class of young boar and lancers who later do not move to older classes where they could develop into trophy-mature specimens. The damage done by feral pigs however fell over the years. Most of the damage was done to corn fields and grassland. As much as 90 % of the damage was paid in the central area of Ptuj-Ormož hunting-management district. The objectives of the management of wild boar in Ptuj-Ormož hunting-management district are to maintain the number of population also to prevent the spread of wild boar outside of the central area and to completely shoot off the wild boar outside the central area. These objectives were achived in the past period, with the exception of maintaining the abundance of the population within the central area, which increased.
