The topic of my thesis is primarily based on my own experience. I am also a wave surfer myself and I would very much like to continue with the sport in the future. After conversations with friends and my own experiences, I realised that there were shortcomings present during the user journey itself, which I aimed to improve or offer a product to compensate for.
During the process of writing my thesis, I delved deeper into the research of the surfer's user journey, starting with the process of buying the board and the necessary equipment to the transportation by car or plane and finally to the actual surfing itself. Through my research I picked out one weakness where I found room for improvement with a suitable product.
