The diploma work describes the design and implementation of the idea of
placing camera in our system of remote controlling water and wastewater systems. In
our company we are dealing with automation and remote control of facilities, that
manage wastewaters and supply the population with drinking water. These facilites are
usually on hard – to – reach terrain, so good security system is very important, in case
of vandalism or unusual events. So our main idea was to improve security system of
our facilities.
In the beggining, main idea, how would we improve our systems from
security perspective, how would we start with it, and how to be most successful, is
presented. In continuation we presented security systems in general and which one
would be best for us. Because our systems are very specific, we presented our PLC,
why are they better for that kind of work and what are main advantages, compared to
others. Main part of thesis is composed from my contribution to the project, from the
very beggining, to studying camera capabilites and implementing it to our system.
