Pedestrians are the most vunerable group included in traffic. At the same time pedestrian crossings are
the contact points between unprotected pedestrians and protected vehicle drivers. Because of the
mentioned vunerability we wish to ensure proper safety for all those involved in traffic by implementing
different measures.
Assessment of visibility, perceivability, accessibility and ilumination was performed for three chosen
pesdestrian crossings in Postojna. Field inspectiom was carried out as well alongside with analysis of
the measured data. In cases where regulations are not suffied there are suggestions for improvement of
pedestrian road safety on said crossings.
