In my Graduation Thesis I focus on the needs of drug users in Pomurje. During the practical training, I noticed a lack of services in the field of addiction, but I wanted to find out how the situation is assessed by drug users and what needs for services they have. In my dissertation, I first present the terminology by various authors and then focus on the needs and understanding of them through several theories. I also describe the concepts of social work in the field of addiction. I conducted a qualitative survey. I conducted interviews with people who actively use drugs and people who abstain in the Pomurje region. Through the answers, I learned about their way of life, how they assess their health and the risks they face. I also got an insight into the services they know or. in which they were involved, and how satisfied they were in them. They also told what services they miss in their local environment. The results showed that much remains to be done in the field of addiction in Pomurje, especially for people who use illicit drugs.
