For the production of machine parts and products, various additive manufacturing processes are gaining ground in recent times. One of them is wire arc additive manufacturing, but it has many limitations. Some of them can be eliminated by additional treatment with friction stir processing. In this way, the mechanical properties and microstructure of the material can be greatly improved. Friction stir processing of wire arc additive manufactured parts are presented in the thesis. The mechanical and chemical properties of the welded AlSi5 Aluminium alloy are studied. The influence of friction stir processing on the tensile strength of AlSi5 is discussed, and a visual analysis of the material by X-ray and microscope before and after treatment is performed. The results showed that friction stir processing has a positive effect on the mechanical properties and microstructure of products made by wire arc additive manufacturing.
