The diploma work describes reactions of two zinc(II) starting materials with picolinic acid and piperidine. Zinc oxide and zinc chloride were used as the starting materials. The reactions were carried out at ambient conditions, by heating in refluxing acetonitrile or at 105 °C in autoclaves. The isolated solids confirmed the formation of amidine from piperidine and acetonitrile under given conditions. The obtained products were: piperidinium chloride, pipeH[Zn(pic)3]·1,5H2O, amidinium chloride, pipeamH[Zn(pic)3]·0,5H2O and [Zn(NH3)4]SO4·H2O.
