Within the development of communication skills in the mother tongue, secondary school students should be additionally trained in the rhetorical part of multimedia presentations of professional topics. Students often have difficulties forming the text of a speech and, particularly, in delivering it. The authors draw particular attention to the perceived deficiencies in delivering the speech and points out the need for the multimedia presentation to be defined as a text type with a specific structure. The theoretical discussion is illustrated by a model of the team-based multimedia presentation of a professional theme.
