Vpeljava izobraževalnega in svetovalnega sistema na področju dela s starostniki

V zadnjih desetletjih se zaradi napredka v medicini in vsesplošnega izboljšanja življenjskega standarda število starejše populacije močno povečuje, kar vodi v težnjo po novih znanjih in boljšem razumevanju potreb starejših. Zato smo v sodelovanju s strokovnjaki s področja oskrbe starejših oblikovali izobraževalno-svetovalni sistem, namenjen boljšemu razumevanju potreb starejših in posledično obogatitvi njihovega vsakdanjika. Z njim želimo opolnomočiti svojce z znanjem za zagotavljanje boljše nege in oskrbe ter znanjem za prilagajanje dejavnosti potrebam vsakega posameznika. Obenem želimo nuditi osebju v domovih možnost nadaljnjega izobraževanja na njihovem delovnem področju. Namen tega magistrskega dela je predstaviti proces oblikovanja holističnega sistema z metodologijo uporabniško usmerjenega načrtovanja na aktualnem problemu, podati smernice za načrtovanje in oblikovanje izobraževalnih spletnih mest, ki upoštevajo želje uporabnikov, ter nadgraditi obstoječe rešitve in posledično ponuditi boljšo uporabniško izkušnjo. Predpostavili smo, da si večina ljudi, ki dela s starejšimi, želi bolje izobraziti o tem, kako lahko omogočijo potrebam starostnikov bolje prilagojeno tako nego kot aktivnosti. Obenem smo predvidevali, da morajo biti za uspešno vpeljavo izobraževalnega in svetovalnega sistema gradiva in znanja smiselna, uporabna in povezana v celoto ter da lahko s prilagojenimi pripomočki in aktivnostmi omogočimo starostnikom lažji in bolj raznolik vsakdan. Da bi preverili te hipoteze smo v procesu raziskovanja najprej temeljito pregledali literaturo in obstoječe rešitve ter nato nadaljevali z intervjuji, ki so omogočili dober vpogled v probleme in želje starostnikov, svojcev in zaposlenih. Odgovore smo segmentirali in z njihovo pomočjo oblikovali persone s serijo scenarijev. Na podlagi zbranih informacij smo izdelali informacijsko spletno mesto v WordPressu s pomočjo jezikov HTML in CSS, pripadajoča družbena omrežja in videovsebine. Informacijski sistem sestavljajo smernice za različne vidike nege in oskrbe starostnikov, kot so oblikovanje prostorov, nabor pripomočkov, vaj in aktivnosti za celostno oskrbo starostnikov, informacije o demenci, individualno svetovanje in izobraževanje za zaposlene na področju dela s starejšimi ter nabor storitev in ugodnosti za starejše v Sloveniji.

Izvleček

In recent decades, advances in medicine and the general improvement of living standards have led to a sharp increase in the number of elderly people. With longer life expectancy, the demand for knowledge and understanding of the needs of the elderly also increases. We therefore wanted to create, in cooperation with experts in the field of elderly care, an educational and counselling system designed to better understand the elderly, and consequently help enrich their everyday life, equip their relatives with the knowledge to provide better care and tailor activities to the needs of each individual, and to offer staff at care homes the opportunity for further education in their field of work. The aim of this master's thesis was to present the process of creating a holistic system with a user-centred design methodology and to provide guidelines for designing educational websites that take into account user preferences and thus offer a better user experience. We hypothesized that most people who work with the elderly want to better educate themselves about how they can provide care and activities for the elderly that better meet their needs. We also assumed that in order for this to be successful, the materials need to be meaningful, useful, and very well organised. Our third hypothesis was that with adapted tools and activities we can ease and diversify the everyday life of the elderly. To test these hypotheses, we went through the research process, where we first thoroughly reviewed the literature and existing solutions, and continued with interviews, which provided a good insight into the problems and desires of the elderly, their relatives, and employees in this field. The answers were then segmented and used to form personas with a series of scenarios. Based on the collected information, we created an informational website with guidelines for various aspects of elderly care, such as space design; a set of tools, exercises and activities for comprehensive care; information about dementia, individual counselling and seminars for staff at care homes; and a list of services and benefits available to the elderly in Slovenia. The website was created in the content management system WordPress with additional HTML and CSS coding and complemented with social networks and video contents.
