The purpose of the diploma thesis is to determine the view and standpoint of Slovenian companies in the field of quality and competencies of employees.
The theoretical part examines three interrelated topics, namely quality, employee competencies and education. The chapters on quality and competences consist of a general overview of key information and a presentation of different perspectives for the future. The chapter on education focuses on young people entering the labour market and different ways of teaching.
The experimental part includes a description of the work process, from data collection to the final result in the form of analysis and graphs.
The results and discussion section presents tables and graphs, along with a commentary. The main findings of the analysis are:
- Slovenian companies mostly understand the concept of quality as an improvement of the process and a quality product or service
- The most sought-after competences in both long-term employees and young people are communication and self-initiative
- According to Slovenian companies, young people in the labour market lack practical experience to the greatest extent
