Samoocena logopedov o kompetenci sodelovanja s starši: primerjalna študija Slovenije in Severne Makedonije

Namen magistrskega dela je prikazati samooceno logopedov Slovenije in S. Makedonije o kompetenci sodelovanja s starši. Kompetenca sodelovanja s starši je v tem magistrskem delu obravnavana kot konstrukt znanj, veščin in stališč, ki logopedu omogočajo uspešno sodelovanje s starši otrok, vključenih v obravnavo. Želeli smo ugotoviti, kakšna je povezanost med samooceno kompetence sodelovanja s starši in delovno dobo logopedov ter ali obstajajo med posameznimi skupinami logopedov (glede na delovno področje, frekventnost udejstvovanja na strokovnih usposabljanjih in državo, v kateri logopedi delujejo) morebitne razlike v samooceni kompetence za učinkovito sodelovanje s starši. Ker ne obstaja vprašalnik, ki bi meril kompetenco sodelovanja med logopedi in starši, smo za potrebe tega magistrskega dela oblikovali nov vprašalnik na osnovi analize strokovne literature o ključnih dejavnikih kompetence sodelovanja s starši. Rezultati na vzorcu 62 logopedov iz Slovenije in 48 logopedov iz S. Makedonije kažejo, da ni povezanosti med samoocenami logopedov glede kompetence sodelovanja s starši in njihovo delovno dobo. Prav tako ni razlik v samooceni kompetence sodelovanja s starši med logopedi, ki delujejo na področju zdravstva, in logopedi, ki delujejo na področju vzgoje in izobraževanja. Rezultati so pokazali, da logopedi, ki so sodelovali na dveh ali več strokovnih usposabljanjih na področju sodelovanja s starši v zadnjih treh letih, bolje ocenjujejo svoja stališča, ki vodijo k uspešnemu sodelovanju s starši, v primerjavi z logopedi, ki niso nikoli sodelovali, in z logopedi, ki so le enkrat sodelovali pri strokovnem usposabljanju na področju sodelovanja s starši. Prav tako so se med logopedi iz Slovenije in logopedi iz S. Makedonije pokazale razlike v samooceni stališč glede sodelovanja s starši, in sicer v prid logopedom iz Slovenije. Magistrsko delo poudarja pomen kompetence sodelovanja s starši pri učinkovitosti obravnav otrok z motnjami na področju govora, jezika in komunikacije. Pričujoča raziskava odpira možnosti za nadaljnje raziskovanje kompetence sodelovanja med logopedi in starši.

Naslov:Self-evaluation of speech-language pathologists on the competence of cooperation with parents: a comparative study of Slovenia and North Macedonia

The purpose of the master's thesis is to present the self-assessment of speech and language pathologists (SLPs) in Slovenia and N. Macedonia on the competence of cooperation with parents. The competence of cooperation with parents is considered in this master's thesis as a construct of knowledge, skills and attitudes that enable the SLPs to successfully cooperate with the parents of the children involved in the treatment. We wanted to find out what is the relationship between self-assessment of competence of cooperation with parents and the years of experiences of SLPs and whether there are possible differences in self-assessment of competence for effective speech and language therapy between individual groups of SLPs (according to field of work, frequency of participation in professional training in the field of cooperation with parents and the country where SLPs are working). As there is no questionnaire that would measure the competence of cooperation between SLPs and parents, we designed a new questionnaire for the purposes of this master's thesis based on the analysis of professional literature on key factors of competence of cooperation with parents. The results on a sample of 62 SLPs from Slovenia and 48 SLPs from N. Macedonia show that there is no correlation between the self-assessments of SLPs regarding the competence of cooperation with parents and their years of experiences. There are also no differences in the self-assessment of the competence of cooperation with parents between SLPs working in the field of health care and SLPs working in the field of education. The results showed that SLPs who have participated in two or more professional trainings in the field of cooperation with parents in the last three years better evaluate their attitudes leading to successful cooperation with parents compared to SLPs who have never or once participated in professional training in the field of cooperation with parents. There were also differences in the self-esteem of attitudes towards cooperation with parents between SLPs in Slovenia and STPs in N. Macedonia. The master's thesis emphasizes the importance of the competence of cooperation with parents in the effectiveness of the treatment of children with speech, language and communication disorders. The research opens up possibilities for further research into the competence of cooperation between speech therapists and parents.
