The main goal of diploma is to get acquainted with 3D technology, the technique of polygon modeling, sculpting and the production of 3D science fiction character in an open program for the design of computer graphics.
The theoretical part covers the description and history of the term "science fiction" and the history and development of the existing science – fiction character. The origin and development of the existing character in the spread of video game popularity are described in more detail. There are also listed and described some of the most commonly used programs for 3D modeling and a more detailed description of the open source program Blender, in which, in the practical part, our own science fiction 3D character was created.
References and a description of the process of making our own 3D character are presented in the experimental part that is divided into several parts. The first part presents the preferences that were used for our character and given reasons for those choice. The second describes and depicts the process of making a character for individual body parts in the Blender program. Following by description of the process of making clothes, accessories and weapons with depictions. The last part describes the process of applying textures and materials to the final character with the associated accessories. The final result of the diploma is a depiction of a character and animation of a character on a spinning plate.
