Concern for the safety and health of employees at work plays an important role in ensuring a pleasant and worker-friendly working environment. Satisfied staff plays an essential role in the successful operation of the organization, which is why it is crucial for the employer to provide appropriate measures and rules in this area and thus help maintain the health and safety of its employees. The diploma thesis presents the field of ensuring safety and health at work in the municipal administration of the Municipality of Pivka. The research in the organization was conducted on basis of a questionnaire and documents obtained in the organization. The results showed that the municipal administration of the Municipality of Pivka adequately provides number of measures in the field of occupational health and safety, while presenting a friendly working environment to its employees. Concern for safety and health at the workplace among employees in the municipal administration of the Municipality of Pivka is reflected in their satisfaction, motivation, and efficiency, as well as productivity at work.
The results of the research in the Municipality of Pivka can represent important basis for raising awareness among employers about the importance of this area, as due to the growing number of accidents and injuries at work it is essential for any organization to properly regulate occupational safety and health and improving the health and safety of employees in the workplace, thus increasing the level of employee satisfaction in the performance of work tasks.
