The diploma refers to flood issues in the municipality of Laško and the time analysis of the construction of facilities in flood-prone areas. The research part focuses mostly on the town of Laško, which is densely populated in flood-prone areas, compared to the Rimske Toplice. Seminar work was mostly done with cabinetwork, which included obtaining and study of sources and literature, cartographic work of population dynamic on flood-prone areas in Laško, in the software tool ArcMap. Based on the research I did with the help of the program, we can understand that the majority of buildings were constructed in the period from 1971 to 1980 and from 1981 to 1990. The trend of intensive construction on flood-prone areas has begun to decline in the 1990s, which can be due to several flood events during this period. In recent years, the reduction of interventions in flood-prone areas is mainly due to more consistent compliance with legislation limiting interventions in flood-prone areas.
