BA thesis is divided into research-analytical and practical part. The first part I begin with research on sustainable development along with current guidelines in environmentally friendly design. In connection with sustainable way of living of our ancestors, I continue with the presentation of traditional craftsmanships, focusing on weaving from natural materials. I also present practical knowledge, which I gained from local weavers. Designed swing for children, which I present in the practical part of my thesis, is, therefore, a synthesis of sustainable guidelines in design and rich heritage of traditional craftsmanship.
