Relationship status has massively changed in the past few years. With modern and late modern society the process of individualization and detraditionalization has started, which modeled out individuals and intimate relations even more. Individualization is a process which focuses on individual and not on the whole society. Detraditionalization is a process of getting rid of traditional events and thoughts. A marriage was not defined by families anymore, however the cause was love and desire between two individuals. Expectations and desires of relatioships were much different as they were in traditional times. The biggest and very important thing that has happened is liberation and a fight for equality of women. It meant that for women, family was not only about reproduction and household work. Women got options as chosing a partner, suffrage, education and employement. Those mentioned processes led to changed relationships, social sturcture and individual values.
