Introduction: Lately the desire to fulfill beauty ideals is rising. One of those ideals is also size and shape of the breasts. Because of that, the number of aesthetic breast procedures among women of childbearing potential is increasing. Additionally more and more women wish to breastfeed, because of its benefits. In case where women had breast procedure before getting pregnant, this could potentially affect success of breastfeeding. Purpose: As a part of diploma work we set goals and questions, which answers will be starting point in helping women who would want to breastfeed after the aesthetic breast procedures, but would have problems with that. With the presentation of the results we will bring this topic closer to the health workers who are encountering these women. In that way we could help women with breastfeeding in the first days after birth. Methods: First the already known facts about breastfeeding, aesthetics breast procedures and breastfeeding after aesthetic breast procedures will be presented. Next, the results of survey of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and their experiences with breastfeeding after breast procedures will be shown. Results: Results of the diploma work are comparable with others researches. Apparently the breastfeeding after aesthetic breast procedures is usually possible without any bigger complications. The most common complication is not having enough milk. One of the frequent problems that International Board Certified Lactation Consultant noticed is low interest and self-esteem of the new mothers. Discussion and conclusion: It is clear that breastfeeding after aesthetic breast procedures can cause some troubles and that it takes more energy for successful breastfeeding, but it is not impossible. Health care workers needs to know that those women usually needs some more attention, willpower, knowledge, encouragement and motivation.
