The thesis deals with changing of our reading habits in the age of technology and consequently changing our textual consciousness, use of e-readers, reading habits and rituals of students, differences between reading academic and leisure, optional literature, reading physical material and reading environment. It covers students' opinions, their views on the current state of reading habits and their response to the change in everyday life during the covid-19 pandemic. I conducted semi-structured interviews individually with twelve students and followed up on five students again after one year. They also solved reading diaries.
