V vzorec je bilo zajetih 20 trenerjev, 41 igralk in 44 igralcev iz sedmih slovenskih klubov, in sicer: Železničarski teniški klub Maribor, teniški klub Branik Maribor, teniški klub Triglav Kranj, teniški klub AS Litija, teniški klub Kočevje, teniški klub Center Court in Ljubljanska teniška akademija. Vključeni so bili igralci in igralke vseh jakostnih lestvic Teniške zveze Slovenije. To smo dokazali s pomočjo t-testa.

Naslov:The social skills of tennis coaches and their relationship with players
Izvleček:
The aim of the master's thesis was to determine the social skills of tennis coaches in our country and their relationship with the players. The master's thesis refers only to competitive tennis. We wondered if the coach’s self-assessment of social skills matched the ratings of their players. The sample included 20 coaches, 41 players and 44 players from seven Slovenian clubs, namely: Railway Tennis Club Maribor, tennis club Branik Maribor, tennis club Triglav Kranj, tennis club AS Litija, tennis club Kočevje, tennis club Center Court and Ljubljana Tennis Academy. Only players of all rating scales of the Tennis Association of Slovenia were included. The age of the players is between 10 and 24 years. Data were collected with two questionnaires, a standardized and copyrighted Interpersonal Skills Questionnaire (SSI) for coaches, and a questionnaire compiled specifically for the master's thesis on the relationship with a coach for tennis players. The data were analyzed with the statistical package IBM SPSS and Microsoft Excel and presented in the Microsoft Word text editor. Based on the obtained results, we found that athletes see their relationship with the coach as very personal, as 74.1% of respondents are very satisfied with their coaches and have good relations with them. We accepted the hypothesis, that athletes have a better relationship with coaches who have better social skills. This premise was proven with the help of the t-test. We´ve also established, that an athlete´s performance does not affect the relationship with his coach as a statistically significant difference was observed in only two questions. From the general analysis of differences in the opinion of players by the gender from 94 questionnaires for all 20 coaches, we did not find significant differences.
